My partner and I are going to Japan for the first time in September, Tokyo will be the last leg of our trips, we are thinking of staying there about days. One of the things we mainly me would like to do is experiencing the Karaoke phenomenon, we are hoping to visit some good karaoke bars where there is a large selection of English songs. I don't mind singing in front of bunch of strangers, so an open bar is ok. A private room would be better though. An exception could be at group parties in onsen ryokan and on private bus tour. So, there might be some misconception. Actually normal Karaoke boxes should have enough oldies to recent hits in its digitalized archives, but some Karaoke boxes apparently do specialize in Yo-Kara Western Karaoke :. Normal Karaoke which should have enough stocks: translate. Yo-Kara: translate.

Singing karaoke is one of my favourite things to do in Japan. The selection of English songs can be difficult to predict. I use it every time I go. Upon arriving to a karaoke establishment, you will be given a handheld console. You will either be given this at the counter and sometimes be given a choice between a few different ones , or the console will be waiting in your karaoke room for you. By far, the consoles that are most popular are made by either Dam Channel or Joysound. If you go to an obscure, small establishment, you might get something else. Luckily, both Dam Channel and Joysound have websites that let you search out songs and save them to an account.

I go in waves but these are my current faves. Recent favourites because they are just fun, funny, silly, sing-a-long-songy, classics …etc.. Singing songs that are meant for guys, basically. They are nice and low and catchy and I just have a nicer bloke voice, basically. Loves it!! Making guys sing songs that are meant for girls is always stupid and funny.
